At NILMDTS Ireland, Dispatchers and Administrators play a vital role in ensuring our mission to support bereaved families is fulfilled with care and efficiency. These behind-the-scenes heroes provide essential support by coordinating resources, managing schedules, and ensuring seamless communication between our volunteers and the families we serve.
By volunteering in this role, you become a cornerstone of our operations, helping to create an environment where families can receive the comfort and compassion they need. Your dedication allows our photographers and other volunteers to focus on their work, knowing that every detail has been handled with precision and care.
Dispatchers: The key to our service
As a dispatcher, you play a pivotal role in connecting families with the compassionate services we provide. You’ll handle sensitive phone requests, schedule Photographer availability, and coordinate Digital Retouch Artist (DRA) requests with professionalism and empathy.
Key Responsibilities:
Answer phone calls from families and assist them with their requests.
Organise a photographer from our list of volunteers.
Coordinate retouching requests with DRAs.
Skills Required:
Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
Fluent English.
Basic IT skills, such as updating spreadsheets.
Dispatchers manage the phone line during hours they are available. Our phones are active daily from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm. This role is fully remote.
Dispatchers usually sign up for a minimum of 6 hours a week but if this isn’t possible for you please get in touch and we can discuss a role that suits your availability.
